A BUSY WEEK

I've been a little busy this weekend with the holiday making a shortened week. But also because we are prepping to host a "bon voyage" party (actually, a beer and brats party) for our assistant pastor who has been reassigned to a parish in western Nebraska. We only had Fr. Andrew in our parish for one year, but this "Man from Milwaukee" (hence, the brats) proved to be a wonderful addition to our parish family, and we will miss him dearly, as we do all of our assistants who have moved on after their 1-2 years at St. John's. It was Fr. Andy who sat in my living room during Game 7 of the ALCS against the hated Yankees and Game 4 of the World Series, and helped put the "hex" on the opponents of the Red Sox. He's no Red Sox fan, but he definitely is not a Yankees man either. Orthodox, on fire for the faith, role model, but human and fun, Fr. Andrew is going to be missed. He will always have a seat in front of a ballgame on TV at our house.

Ok...so let me attempt to catch up with some articles of note....
